Salı, Temmuz 30, 2024

Applications for international scholarship programs offered by YTB to support the successful work of Turks abroad and to contribute to projects that can benefit Turks abroad have started.

The Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTP) announces various scholarship programs every year to contribute to the education of Turkish expats, support successful young people and develop solutions to meet their needs. YTB started the application processes for the following scholarship programs: "Prof. Fuat Sezgin Outstanding Achievement", "Thesis and Research", "High School Graduation Exam Achievement" and "Specialization in the Fields of Family and Social Services".
Scholarship programs, which are open to Turkish citizens, dual citizens or Blue Card holders around the world, support Turkish communities to participate in academic and intellectual life in the countries where they live, and contribute to the education of Turkish language and culture. These programs also lay the foundations for the projects that can offer solutions to Turks abroad.

Prof.  Fuat Sezgin Outstanding Achievement Scholarship Program

This scholarship is awarded to young expats for their outstanding achievement in higher education. The program is available for eligible applicants who have completed undergraduate, graduate or doctoral programs in the fields of science and engineering, medical sciences, social sciences and humanities with at least 80 percent success rate until the deadline. The undergraduate winners will receive one-time payment of 1600 euros, while postgraduate winners with M.A. and PhD degrees will receive 2000 euros and 2400 euros respectively.

Thesis and Research Fellowship Program

This program will support the education and academic studies of Turkish expatriates. It is offered to applicants who are enrolled in graduate programs abroad and are in the thesis stage or about to enter the thesis stage.  The evaluators will assess the theses and researches made or to be made on issues that concern Turkish citizens living abroad. The stipends will be given 2 times a year, a total of 2000 Euros for master's degree and 3000 Euros for PhD.

High School Graduation Exam Scholarship Program

YTB announced this program to support high school education of our future generations living abroad and to raise awareness in this filed.  Within the scope of this program, a one-time award of 1000 Euros will be given to a student with the highest GPA among the applicants from each embassy/consulate general region in the countries.

Specialization Scholarship in the Fields of Family and Social Services

YTB developed the Specialization Scholarship program in the Fields of Family and Social Services in order to increase the diversity of services such as counseling, social support and therapy on family and social services and foster the education of people who provide these services. This program will be supported with the professional certificate programs developed for the Turks abroad who received university degrees from the departments of psychology, pedagogy, psychological counseling and guidance, social work and social studies in the relevant countries. The scholarship program is offered to applications under three modules: "Clinical Psychologist and Psychotherapist Certificate Support", "Behavioral Sciences Graduate Support" and "Professional Development Support Scholarship". The amount and the duration of support for each module were determined separately.

Applications for all scholarship programs will be submitted online from the
YTB Online Başvuru Sistemi (YTB Online Application System) until August 31st, 2024. The prospective applicants can access more detailed information about the scholarship programs on the "https://yvburslari.ytb.gov.tr/" website.

Applications will be evaluated in three stages: preliminary assessment, expert evaluation and interview. E-mails will be sent to the applicants who will be interviewed.
