Massive Support from YTB for the Education of Turkmen Youth in Iraq: 390-Hour Digital Lesson Archive Ready

The Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB), in cooperation with the Ministry of National Education (MEB) and the Turkmeneli Foundation, has launched a comprehensive digital education initiative for Turkmen youth studying at "Esasi" high schools in Iraq. The 390 hours of lesson videos prepared under the “Video Lecture Program for Turkish Education in Iraq” aim to enhance the quality of education in the region and support the academic success of students.
Within the scope of the project, a broad pool of lessons in basic sciences was created based on the final-year curriculum of the Esasi high schools in Iraq. Recorded by experts in their fields at the professional studios of the Ministry of National Education, the distribution of the lessons consists of 120 hours of Mathematics, 90 hours of Physics, 90 hours of Chemistry, and 90 hours of Biology.
Aiming for Success in Baccalaureate Exams
Launched to address the shortage of subject-specific teachers in Turkmen schools in Iraq, this project ensures that both students and teachers have access to up-to-date and high-quality content. Improving the success of final-year high school students in the "Baccalaureate" exams, which are of critical importance for university transition, constitutes one of the primary focus points of the project.
Sustainability and Digital Transformation in Education
To strengthen the educational infrastructure in the region, YTB had previously organized subject-matter and pedagogical formation training for contracted teachers working in Esasi high schools; in this context, 284 teachers received certificates documenting their competencies. The video lecture project is seen as a new and permanent link in this educational chain.

The prepared lesson videos have been published on the @tikvegitim YouTube channel to eliminate geographical boundaries and ensure accessibility at any time and from anywhere. In this way, as long as the curriculum remains unchanged, Iraqi Turkmen youth and educators will be able to benefit from this high-quality digital library free of charge for many years to come.
