Outreach Program for the Project “Turkish Time 2024”

Turkish children and youth abroad grow up in a multilingual and multicultural environment, feed off two lines, one being Turkish language and culture and the other the language and cultural elements of the country they reside in, and they build their own cultural identity. 

From this perspective, being equipped with proficiency in Turkish will surely help the next generation make sense of the values, traditions, and lifestyles originating from the shared sentiments and views of the Turkish culture, and thus take on a skill to view the diversity of the Turkish culture and the culture of the country they reside in as an enriching experience. 

It is clear that Turkish language will play an influential role on young people, who get to know themselves and the community they live among through their own characteristics, to grow into self-confident individuals with a high degree of social cohesion and benefit. In addition, young people who are culturally mature enough in this sense will serve to close gaps between the country they are born and grow up in and Türkiye, and add to the future of both countries. 
 
To this end, the Presidency promotes the training courses over Turkish language and culture, which have been offered by the Turkish non-governmental organizations abroad for years within the boundaries of their own means, as part of the Outreach Program for the Project “Turkish Time”.
