The Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB) has launched the "Eastern Anatolia Culture and History Program" so that Turkish youth living abroad can learn important information about the culture and history of the Eastern Anatolia Region first-hand and address the facts about the Armenian issue in the light of academic information. The program, which was held for the first time this year between May 4-10, 2025, was attended by 40 young people residing abroad and receiving undergraduate, graduate and doctoral degrees.

Following the trainings provided by Kars Kafkas University and Van Yüzüncü Yıl University faculty members on the subjects of "Turks entering Anatolia", "1915 Armenian events" and "Turkish-Armenian relations during the Ottoman period", program participants participated in city tours.

As part of the Eastern Anatolia Culture and History Program, young people visited the cities of Kars, Van and Erzurum and visited places that witnessed important events on the stage of history. Participants had the opportunity to observe the architectural and cultural traces of the Old City of Van, Van Zeve Martyrdom and Ahlat Seljuk Cemetery with the assistance of art historians, archaeologists, historians and guides.
